This guided cycling holiday will lead us to some of the most interesting spots in the Provence. We will discover Marseille, the starting point of this tour, as well as the hilly backland of this region. Many different villages with their Provençal flair will enchant you. And the scenery on our way is phantastic. The highlight for all ambitious cyclists will be for sure the Mont Ventoux, but you can also shortcut this climb. Finally we will return after four unforgettable days to Marseille.
The Provence is a very hilly area, you should be aware of constant and partially longlasting ups and downs. We have designed this tour to see as many highlights as possible on our route in order to give you a good impression of the beauty of this place. And don't forget to try the typical Provençal cuisine and the local wines and let us show you some nice venues for the night.
All different kinds of bikes are welcome, whether you have a road bike, mountainbike, city bike or even an eBike. Depending on the number of participants we will cycle in several (at least two) teams with different speed levels.
The Global Biking Initiative (GBI) wants to show you the most interesting places in Europe in a sportive way. We are proud of our international participants, that makes it easy for everybody to make new friends from other countries. One of our main goals is the continuous support of charity projects worldwide. We achieve this by engaging the participants to raise funds for a charity project in their home country.
