Information
Mallorca is one of the Balearic Islands, a group of Spanish islands located in the Mediterranean Sea. It is the largest of the Balearic Islands and is known for its stunning natural beauty, including picturesque beaches, rugged mountains, and charming villages. Its moderate climate allows a perfect cycling experience with temperatures between 16°C and 22°C, and up to eight hours sun shine every single day!
Explore with a team of other female cyclists the enchanting beauty of Mallorca, where turquoise waters meet golden beaches, and historic towns are nestled among lush landscapes. Uncover a world of Mediterranean wonders and vibrant culture on this captivating island paradise. Combine your cycling experience with high-quality workshops on special topics for women in cycling (screwdriver workshop, training, regeneration & much more).
Camp highlights:
• 5 – day exclusive ladies training camp program
• Accommodation with halfboard (5 nights incl. breakfast and dinner; drinks excluded) at THB María Isabel****, a four-star hotel, directly at Playa de Palma
• Professional tour guiding with different female team leaders
• Experienced lecturers who offer exciting workshops on the subject of ‘women in cycling’, such as the self-help mechanic workshop: What to do if you have a breakdown on the road?
• Group division according to different performance levels (beginners, advanced)
• Varied tours
• High-quality rental bikes (optional; alu and carbon available)
• A lot of new friends from all over the world and unforgettable moments
We will stay during the entire period at THB María Isabel****, a four stars hotel at Playa de Palma, only four km to the airport and a few minutes drive to Palma, the insland's capital. The hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool and a free wellness area with heated indoor pool, sauna, and Turkish bath. The beach is just a few minutes walk from the hotel, just 350 meters.
We'll typically start the day with a maritim breakfast incl. juices, cereals, pastries, selection of cold cuts, hot food, etc.
After breakfast, our experienced instructors offer up to two hours of interactive workshops on various topics. The exact workshop content is closely aligned and co-ordinated with the participants before the camp.
And then it's time to get on the bikes! Depending on the number of participants, different groups are available with different travel speeds. The aim is to set off as a group and arrive back as a closed group. The carefully planned routes follow only asphalt roads, and since the island is quite hilly, we can expect a few climbs every day. During the tour we take a lunch break (any restaurant costs are not included in the camp fee) and return to the hotel in the late afternoon to give us enough time for personal regeneration before we meet for dinner.
The third day is a rest day. On this day we offer an optional ride without a workshop. Or you can use the time to enjoy the beach and the sea or explore the island.
On day 2 and 5, we'll offer a instructor led stretching session of 20-30 minutes after the ride.
