Michael is the founder and one of the initiators of the first GBI bike tour in 2008, which started with more than 60 cyclists from Düsseldorf in Germany to Newbury in Great Britain.
Michael has spent several thousand hours of work since 2008 to further develop the Global Biking Initiative. In 2009 he founded an association in Germany to give the idea a professional basis. The logical and necessary next step was the foundation of GBI Event GmbH in 2013, which today takes care of the organization and implementation of the annual GBI events.
Michael primarily takes care of the strategic orientation of the GBI, further development of the global footprint, development of new tours and offers. He is basically a firefighter every day and takes care of all the small and large topics that would otherwise be left behind.
Anja has been an integral part of the GBI for many years - both as a participant and in different roles behind the scenes. Almost every participant knows them, and not without reason: their experience and commitment are irreplaceable.
Anja mainly takes care of the finances of the GBI and ensures that everything runs smoothly in the back office. In addition, she is very involved in controlling and always has an overview - with Anja nothing will forget!
On smaller GBI tours, she also likes to take over the tour office, accommodation management and ensures the small snacks in between. Your kitchen is legendary, especially at the GBI @ Rad at the Ring event, where your culinary creations have long since reached cult status.
Oliver took part in the GBI Europe Tour for the first time in 2009 and was immediately enthusiastic. Since then it has been an integral part of the GBI community and has accompanied numerous tours through Europe. His passion for cycling and the GBI prompted him in 2014 to actively support the organization in diverse areas.
Especially for smaller events such as the GBI (Ladies) Transalp, Oliver takes over the complete planning from start to finish and is often also on site to accompany the implementation.
In addition, as a planner and buyer for the hotel capacities of the GBI Europe with their need for 700 hotel beds in the seven regions during the one -week tour, he takes care of some other aspects: from maintaining the website to the shop to the newsletter.

Klaus has already accompanied several dozen tours and is an integral part of our team. Whether as a tour guide that takes care of the well -being of the participants, or as a person responsible for the catering stand on the GBI Europe Tour - Klaus always ensures that everything runs smoothly.
Before the GBI Europe, he personally checks the planned locations and drives the route in advance to ensure that it meets our requirements.

Andreas plays a crucial role in the organization and implementation of the GBI Europe. In his position, he is responsible for comprehensive logistics. His committed team takes over the smooth transport of the luggage of the participants, mattresses and throwing tents for the camp overnight stays and all equipment from one stage to the next. Through his comprehensive understanding of the logistical challenges of this major event, Andreas makes a significant contribution to becoming an unforgettable experience for all participants.
Herbert is responsible for the fleet management of the GBI. He coordinates the rental of the vehicles that are used on the different tours and is responsible for the topics, truck navigation and legal aspects such as load securing, steering & rest periods, etc.
Wiiwii has been supporting GBI for a long time. Many probably remember when he introduced ice cubes, fruits and berries to our nutrition for the first time. He is currently responsible for the location logistics, including dormitories and catering.
