GBI Deutschland 2014 old

The first GBI Germany discovered the northwestern part of Germany, travelling from Stralsund, the portal to the island of Rügen to the german capital of Berlin. All donations were handed over to representives of the foundation „RTL – Wir helfen Kindern“ (RTL - We are helping children).

The first day we will sleep in an old abbey (18th century), which was restored recently.

In the evening we will have a drink in the brewery beside our hostel where we will recharge from the last stage.

Shared rooms with bunk beds (4/8 persons per room).

All rooms are bright and have a shower and toilet.

The second night we will sleep in a hostel in the wonderful city of Waren (Muritz).

Our accomodaton is only 1 km away from the centrum, where you can spend the evening together with your team or friends.

Shared rooms with bunk beds (4 persons per room).

Only Breakfast is included.

Our last accomodation is located in a forest withour any civilization arround us. You are invited to participate on our BBQ, which we will combine with a campfire.

Each GBI participant rides in a team, guided by an experienced teamleader. Teamsize is limited to ten riders max because of legal requirements.

My name is Dirk Rheydt and I support the GBI since the beginning in 2008. I´m going to cycle the track 1a (MTB and Touring). If you want to join a friendly team and if you like to cycle in a comfortable speed with enough breaks, than you should choose my team. The speed of our team will be 20 km/h in average (without breaks) and we will discuss the count of breaks in the morning-briefing before we will start.

Mein Name ist Dirk Rheydt und ich begleite die GBI seit ihrer ersten Charity-Tour in 2008. Während der GBI Deutschland fahre ich die Strecke 1a (MTB & Tourenrad). Wenn Du Lust auf eine harmonische Truppe hast, die großen Wert auf ein angenehmes Tempo und relativ viele Pausen legt, bist Du in meinem Team genau richtig. Wir werden eine Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeit von 20 kim/h (ohne Pausen) fahren. Unsere Pausen richten sich nach der Tagesetappe und werden morgens im Team gemeinsam besprochen.

As Teamleader of the Team (Brandenbourg) Cyclerz, every cycler is welcome, who can ride his bike on track 1a (MTB&Touring). Together, we start in the early morning hours. Mein Name ist Mario. Seit 2009 unterstütze ich die GBI. Die GBI Detuschland 2014 (erste nationale Charity Tour) ist meine vierte GBI, an der ich teilnehme. Als Teamleader des Brandenbourg Cyclerz Team ist jeder Fahrer willkommen, der mit seinem Fahrrad auf Track 1a (MTB & Tourenrad) fahren kann. Gemeinsam starten wir in den frühen Morgenstunden. Mit einer Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeit von 20-22 km/h (je nach Entfernung), zwei bis drei kurzen Pausen und eine große Pause, erreichen wir gemeinsam jedes Ziel. See you in Stralsund!

I'm really looking forward to the GBI Germany 2014. My name is Uli Böhm and I'm 6 times participant of the "big" GBI. I use a racing bike and cycle Track 1b, but all participants are wellcomed in my team. The plan is to cycle around two hours and than making a break. Hence there are not that much k per day we have time to make a 90 minutes lunchbreak. Small break as requested and needed. We will try to cycle an average speed of 22 km/h. My native language is german but I speak a little english also.

Ich freue mich auf die erste GBI Deutschland Tour 2014. Mein Name ist Uli Böhm, ich bin die "große" GBI bereits 6 mal mitgefahren. Ich fahre mit meinem Rennrad die asphaltierte Strecke 1b, aber auch Nicht-Rennradfahrer sind in meinem Team willkommen. Mein Plan ist es, dass wir ca. 2 Stunden fahren, und uns dann eine nette Stelle für eine Rast suchen. Da die Tage ja nicht mit Kilometern überfrachtet sind, können wir uns meist eine ausgiebige Mittagspause gönnen, die gerne auch 1,5 dauern kann. Kleinere Pausen nach Absprache. Wir werden ca. 22 km/h fahren. Meine Muttersprache ist Deutsch, ich spreche aber auch Englisch.

My name is Stefan Pey and I have participated in three GBI Tours up to now. I am looking forward to an enjoyable ride through the wonderful countryside of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern until we finally arrive in our busy capitol. We will cycle at an average (not maximum!) speed of 15-18 km/h. During the day there will be approximately 3 smaller breaks and about 30 minutes lunch break in the early afternoon, we will agree on this each morning.

Mein Name ist Stefan Pey, bisher habe ich an 3 „grossen“ GBI Touren teilgenommen (Amsterdam, Oslo, Paris). Ich freue mich auf eine angenehme und gemütliche Tour quer durchs wunderschöne „Meck-Pomm“ bis in unsere quirlige Hauptstadt. Wir werden mit einer durchschnittlichen (nicht maximalen!) Geschwindigkeit von 15-18 km/h unterwegs sein. Über den Tag verteilt gibt es vermutlich 3 kleine Stops sowie eine 30-minütige Mittagspause am frühen Nachmittag, das klären wir aber bevor es morgens los geht.

Moin Moin,
ich bin mit dem Fahrrad schon fast überall gewesen, aber leider noch nicht in MacPomm. Mich reizt diese Landschaft und ich habe schon viel Gutes über diese schöne Land&Leute gehört.

Wir wollen als Gruppe die Gegend erkunden und geniessen. Ich finde es toll, dass eine eine "kleine" GBI gibt. Bisher habe ich an allen grossen GBI's teilgenommen.
